about: probably the most common thing you’ll hear about sua is that she’s the younger sister of astro’s moonbin, but this girl is no nepotism kid (lol) as she’s worked very hard to make a name for herself and earn her own debut. in 2015, she was a contestant on the show unpretty rapstar 2, and had made it to the final round as third runner-up. she trained under yg entertainment for 10 years and was set to debut under their girl group “future 2ne1”, however its debut plans were cancelled following the departure of its members from the company. sua was then announced as a trainee under mystic rookies in 2020, and later announced to be debuting under billlie.
as of writing (dec 2021), billlie has no official leader (“it changes every time, whoever wants to do it does it”), but sua is usually seen as the one who introduces the group and leads the conversation in vlives and other shows. she’s kind of the mom of the group because she’s the eldest and she takes care of the other members really well. also, sua is a social butterfly !! she is very outgoing despite her mbti saying she's an introvert and is friends with a lot of other idols (some from trainee days like blackpink’s jisoo, and some all the way from childhood like gfriend’s sinb) ^^ something else to note is that sua has participated in writing lyrics (rap) for their debut album!

about: suhyeon was also a contestant of survival shows before her debut. she was a contestant in produce 101 season 1, but was eliminated in episode 5 ranking #69. she also participated in mixnine in 2017 and was eliminated in the final episode ranking #17. honestly this girl has been through a lot in the entertainment industry because after all that survival show stress, she then made her acting debut in the drama girls’ generation 1979, and since then has made appearances in other dramas such as a-teen, go back diary, top management, and just dance. in february 2020, she was officially announced as a trainee under mystic rookies, and later as an official member of billlie.
suhyeon is the center of the group and is one of the members that take on the leadership role the most along with sua. if you watch their vlives and interviews, she’s very good at filling the silences and leading the conversations as well. suhyeon is also known in the group as an organized smarty who always writes and schedules things down in her notebook. and I know the word “duality” is thrown around a lot in kpop but suhyeon is known in the fandom as the representative “peak duality” girl, mostly because she’s very fierce when she performs but is a total sunshine off stage who shamelessly enjoys doing weird impersonations like doraemon, pikachu, and even their dorm alarm clock.

about: ahh there isn’t much we know about haram pre-debut. she was a contestant in sm entertainment x genie’s “everysing” contest in 2017 and was the winner. through that, she received vocal training from sm and was later moved to the subsidiary label mystic story. haram has crazy good vocals and is always told by practically everyone they meet that she “doesn’t seem like a rookie” with how good she is.
in terms of personality, she isn’t as outgoing as the first two but is very affectionate when it comes to the members especially with the younger ones! she’s really just a sweet pretty girl who is always in the sidelines smiling or laughing when the members are getting super energetic, but also the group agrees that haram is the most “rational” member out of all of them. sua has mentioned that when the group has ups and downs, haram is the one that always stands in the middle ^^

about: not really sure about the timeline of all of this but tsuki was formerly an exclusive model of the japanese magazine popteen along with siyoon. she debuted under popteen’s project girl group 7+me link under magicour (its first unit) as a member named “taru”. however her activities with them ceased when she graduated from the group (and popteen) in december 2020. she then became a trainee under the name “ravi” in sm entertainment where she became friends with aespa’s ningning and former smrookies koeun. some other stuff to know about her is that she also modeled for a contact lens brand and used to work at shake shack to fund her training. but yay finally in 2021, tsuki was officially introduced as the second member of billlie.
tsuki is also resident sunshine slash human vitamin of this group. this girl is like, the personification of the word adorable. she’s very charming and likes to speak and act cute. if I were to describe her I’d say she’s like a fake maknae? she’s super playful and outgoing but also it’s super cute when she gets shy (like when she meets her idols) <3

about: if you watch the ring x ring music video and listen to their album, you’ll probably wonder why you can’t find or hear sheon anywhere. sheon was only introduced as a new member of the group nine days after debut, so technically her real debut was on the release of snowy night. I feel like a lot of people know/are familiar with sheon the most out of all the members. she was a contestant in mnet’s survival show girls planet 999 where she made it to the final episode and placed 10th. she was pretty popular in that show since she was a really good all-rounder. before gp999 though, sheon was already a little popular as a beauty/eye makeup influencer ^^ sheon has been a trainee for around three years and is currently(?) a student at hanlim multi art school.
despite being introduced to the group a little late, sheon is very good at blending in (for lack of a better word) with the other members. in their first ot7 vlive, the members expressed how nice it is to have sheon as their new member and sheon has also said that the other members are very polite and kind to her ^^ there haven’t been many chances to see how she interacts with the group though so :<

about: siyoon is someone who has been an entertainer since she was a CHILD. she attended two dance academies: def dance academy and millennium dance academy, and this has allowed her to participate in various tv and video performances even at a very young age. she became a backup dancer for several artists such as boyfriend, lim kim, and mystic89. similar to tsuki, siyoon was also a regular model of popteen magazine. in 2019, she passed her audition to become a trainee at mystic story, and was officially revealed as part of mystic rookies in 2020. along with sua, siyoon has also participated in songwriting for their debut album!
I guess you could kinda say siyoon places third in members who take the leadership role the most. there are times where siyoon is introduced as the leader for the day, and sometimes she is in charge of introducing their album/songs during interviews. the members have also said that she is the most influential member of the group. siyoon is self-declared “mood maker” of the group and self-declared “member with the most aegyo”, but it’s true and the other members agree anyway ^^

about: we also don’t know much about haruna but we know that she is also someone who has been a performer for a reaaally long time. she went to her first dance studio at 9 years old, and has been a gpstudio dance academy student living in dorms since junior high. haruna has been a dancer for years and has entered many dance competitions. she was announced to be a member of mystic rookies on october 2021, only a month before debut.
haruna is nicknamed “turtle maknae” by the members because she’s a little slow, but honestly this “slowness” is what brings the much needed calm vibe to the group. in one of their early show guestings, the interviewer even noticed that the group significantly calmed down when runa started speaking ^^ runa is the member that balances out the tension in the group because well, sua suhyeon and tsuki are almost always two seconds away from bouncing off the walls. the members really adore haruna as their maknae and love doting on her. my son <3
- the name billlie means “showing our b-side confidently and beautifully”, meaning they want to empathize and connect with people by showing their inner self. the extra L added to what is usually spelled “billie” portrays how they added a twist in order to create something special.
- on november 30, 2021, they officially announced the fandom name: belllie’ve.
- mystic rookies, the group they previously set to debut as billlie, formerly had two other members: soomin (who left in august 7, 2020) and miyu (who left in april 3, 2021).
- their dorm is currently divided into two rooms: BOYS room (with haruna, suhyeon, sheon, and siyoon) and GIRLS LOVE ME room (with tsuki, haram, and sua)
- billlie always collaborates with 1MILLION dance studio for their choreographies and have made lot of dance covers with them in the past (see playlist in the next section)
- billlie has LORE (bi11lie) that I wish I could explain to you but I just don’t have enough brain cells to process all of that (speaking as someone who has gone through bts hyyh lore and txt +u) T__T but from what I understand is that their concept is kinda horror mystery where they are catholic school girls who try to find their lost (murdered?) friend Billlie. luckily some fans aren’t like me and actually take time out of their day to figure it out ^^ see: this carrd
- you can’t bring these girls ANYWHERE because in classic gen z fashion, they unironically say “skrrt skrrt” a million times every day. sometimes even incorporating it into their group cheer…
- billlie and their company have this thing where they prefix everything with “billl-” like BILLLENDAR when they released the calendar for snowy night’s comeback, and more recently, the expression BILLLANGHAE as their way of saying saranghae
